Business Energizers: Develop Your Personal Brand
In order for the clients we are meant to serve to be able to find us we need to be consistent with who we are and what we offer. This is why our personal brand is so important.
Consistently communicating your personal brand will serve you well over time.
Identifying what is unique about you will provide the clients you are meant to serve a clear message of why they are your ideal clients.
There are two main components:
- Your Who and Do What Statement
- Your Why You Do It Statement
To develop your Who and Do What Statement consider three important aspects: (1) The specific problems you solve, (2) Who you solve them for, and (3) What the results are.
Example: “I help small business owners get all the clients they want.”
Your potential clients can see if you help people in their particular situation.
To develop your Why You Do It Statement there are three important factors to consider: (1) Who you are at your core, (2) Why you do what you do, and (3) Why people should work with you.
Example: “To help people vision big and build a thriving business.”
This allows potential clients to know if they connect emotionally and philosophically with the reason you do what you do.
Staying focused on these two main components of Your Who and Do What Statement and Your Why You Do It Statement will serve you well.
Most importantly keep it simple, be consistent, and enjoy serving your ideal clients.
